The Cultural Au Pair Association of Australia Committee
The CAPAA Committee is made up of CAPAA Members who are nominated each year at the AGM. The management of the CAPAA is a shared responsibility across all CAPAA Members as they donate their time to create a better Au Pair industry for everyone.
Anna Prasad - President
Anna manages all inbound programmes at AIFS, including AIFS Au Pair, Work & Travel, High School and Study Abroad programmes, and is based in AIFS’ Sydney CBD centre. Having worked in the sector for more than 7 years, Anna’s experience includes overseeing the operations of PROaupair (later Apex Professional Exchange) in Australia – a provider of au pairs for families with special needs children.
Anna joined AIFS Au Pair in 2022, and has brought her wealth of experience to nurture the cultural exchange au pair experience, assisting families and au pairs across Australia.
Anna served as President of the Cultural Au Pair Association of Australia (CAPAA) for three years, stepping back from the role in 2025.
Originally from Germany, Anna relocated to the UK when she was 15, and spent a year in Italy as an au pair when she was 19. In 2016, Anna moved to Australia with her Australian husband and two sons, and now calls Sydney home.
Anna is committed to supporting host families and au pairs, and recognises the importance of good communication. As a working parent, Anna understands the challenges facing working mothers and families.
Rebecca Waters - Secretary
Rebecca Waters is the Founder of Au Pair & Nanny Network Australia, a long-established Western Australian au pair and cultural exchange agency she founded in 2010.
For more than 16 years, Beck has worked within the Australian au pair sector, supporting successful cultural exchanges and developing a strong understanding of the needs of host families, au pairs and agencies alike.
A founding and long-standing member of CAPAA, Beck is committed to promoting high standards, responsible practice and the continued recognition of au pairing as a valuable cultural exchange experience in Australia.
As CAPAA Secretary, Beck is excited to bring her experience and industry knowledge to the Committee, working closely with the President and fellow Committee members to support CAPAA’s members and strengthen the association’s voice. She is particularly passionate about supporting the future of au pairing in Australia and ensuring the value of cultural exchange continues to be recognised and represented.
Michelle Gee – Treasurer
Michelle is the founder of Au Pair Care Australia and has been connecting au pairs and families for over 7 years.
Michelle has worked with families and young people in Australia for close to 30 years in different capacities. Michelle has always enjoyed supporting and resourcing families and individuals to achieve their own goals within their communities.
Michelle was born in Australia and is very fortunate to have travelled to the USA, Europe, and Asia. Michelle has been involved indirectly and directly with Au Pairs for many years and knows the value of how a connection between the Au Pair and family is invaluable on so many levels.
Having children and a busy family herself, Michelle knows how valuable and important a successful cultural exchange is to both the Au Pair and family.
As a proud member of CAPAA, Michelle is committed to striving for a united approach to ensure Au Pairs and families are enriched through their cultural exchange connections.
